CLASSIFIED COLLABS WITH B.O.B

DANG. Are you guys seeing this video? This video is SERIOUS.

Back to the future car, several locations, and BOB?! This video is giving me anxiety at how much the producers dropped for this.

Well it’s not like BOB is super big anymore, I mean that song massive international hit AIRPLANES with Bruno Mars was FOUR YEARS AGO.

It blows my mind at how fast time flies.

Anyways, check out the latest from Canadian rap superstar, Classified.

ORPHAN BLACK CANADA’S FIRST INTERNATIONALLY PRAISED SERIES

This is what I’m talking about Canada. If you guys haven’t heard of Orphan Black, then you will now.

When producers took on this project little did they know how much INTERNATIONAL PRAISE it would get. And this is just the beginning.

Orphan Black, just started as a rookie Canadian series, decent budget, filming took place in Scarborough, On, and had some air time in a few States. But, soon after it’s premiere people began noticing Orphan Black for it’s QUALITY and garnering it’s lead actress, Tatiana Maslany a GOLDEN GLOBE nomination for best actress in a drama series. YES that’s right. A Canadian production got a Golden Globe nomination! We didn’t get the award, but, it’s still only on it’s first season.

This is truly a rare incident, usually Canadian series don’t make it this far with American critics.

But the game is changing here in Hollywood North.
Orphan Black is just the beginning.

We called it first. Didn’t we tell you guys this was gonna be huge?!
And now we’re saying it’s gonna be bigger

Orphan Black has a series premiere on April 19! Don’t miss it

DIGITS CANT KEEP SECRETS

This is some real hipster shit. If you guys are ever wondering what’s going on in the super-underground hipster scene, take a look at Torontonian band Digits, because they appears to be right in the middle of that movement.

They recently dropped Keeping Secrets.

And it sounds like I’ve gotten a new shower karaoke song.

NORTHWEST DIVISION DROP CLASSLESS AND TASTELESS VIDEIO

Rap Better Party Harder? Please.. How about Stop Rapping Make Better Videos?

I’m gonna be real. I’m all about that cool, risky, controversial shit. I admire those who do art and do it by living on the edge.

But, when that piece of art is done in a cheap way. Then it is no longer considered art to me, I call that trash.

And this boys and girls, is garbage. Sorry North, but it’s true.

Like I said, I’m all about that contrevorsial stuff, I LOVE that stuff, but when you take things like cocaine, trap housing, and GLORIFY that culture. I find that absolutely disgusting, because that is not cool at all. And everyone knows that’s not cool. Not even Beliebers find that amusing.

AND THEN on top of that you guys add some blasphemy in there, symbols and references to Satanism? Like why? I thought this was a video about cocaine?

Anyway, don’t take my opinion seriously, you guys have real talent, but just get someone else to do your videos.

Why I Love Toronto

TIFF Kids

You will not see Brad Pitt or Sandra Bullock, nor will you see crowds of people standing outside of the TIFF Bell Lightbox with cameras and autographs books in hand ready to be signed. Even though TIFF Kids International Film Festival doesn’t bring the same hype as the Toronto International Film Festival does, it brings something else – imagination and creativity.

The event, which starts today, is one of the largest kid’s film festivals in the world providing viewers with a diverse set of content including dramatic and comedic films as well as animation and live-action films. With movies from all over the world, children will not only be entertained with funny and heartfelt stories, but will confront issues that they may face in their daily lives.

I went to this event last year and saw some amazing films including Celeste Koon’s The Intergalactic Adventures of Cleo and Anouk. After I saw this film Koon spoke to a crowd of mostly kids and some people who work in the children’s industry – including myself and my friend Hayley. It was adorable listening to the children ask Koon questions like “how did you make the asteroids hit the rocket ship.” Being in the industry I knew the answers to these questions, but I will admit if I was that age, I probably would have been asking the exact same thing. Moral of this paragraph is I love that TIFF Kids allows children to interact with those in the industry.

The other cool thing about the festival is the digiPlaySpace in which children have a chance to interact with creative media technologies and share artistic experiences.

The festival is a great event for those working in the kids industry (television, film, publishing, press, etc.), for educators and for mothers or fathers who are looking for a fun activity to do with their child.

Make sure to check out the event this year and tell me what movies you are most excited to see.

That is Why I Love Toronto
